An entrepreneur at heart, Mr. Reader began his 35-year career in warehouse and distribution automation. He was instrumental in automating DC operations and manufacturing operations for emerging retailers, eCommerce pure-plays and some of the nations leading brands including Boeing, General Electric, UPS, Caterpillar, Dell, Ford, Chrysler, Lowe's Stores, Berkshire Hathaway, Motorola, McGraw Hill, Webvan and luxury consumer brands Chanel, and Bluefly.com.
He has owned and sold two automation companies. He was the past President of the Board of Directors for the Vermont-New Hampshire Direct Marketing Group - home to some of the nation’s pre-eminent direct marketers, catalogers and retailer – and holds degrees in International Affairs and Organizational Leadership.
With expertise in technology, logistics, direct marketing and communications for both business and consumer markets, he has been a featured speaker at numerous industry events on the subject of state-of-the-art warehousing, distribution and logistics.
Mr. Reader is currently responsible for business development and marketing at KNAPP, a leading supplier and innovator of automated supply chain solutions in the US and globally. He is also the Executive Director of the Material Handling Institute Solutions Group
